Junior Memberships

Age Eligibility is 17 & under. The cutoff date for each age bracket is June 1, 2023. For example, if your child turns nine before June 1st, you will pay the 9-13 age bracket fee. If your child is 8 and does not turn 9 until June 1st or after, you will pay the 5-8 age bracket fee.

A junior member must be the child of a current parent or legal guardian who is a member at Shaker Hills in one of the eligible categories as defined below. Junior members receive unlimited golf, range, and practice facility usage Monday - Thursday (non-holiday) and after 4:00PM on Friday - Sunday and Holidays. Junior members receive a (50% discount) on range/practice facilities Friday - Sunday and holidays before 4:00PM (hours will mirror Twilight start times in the fall). Junior Members may need to pass a playing ability test prior to playing by themselves on the course. This membership does not include cart usage. A junior member may ride in a golf cart with a paying guest or member but are not authorized to drive. Only two people per cart.

Booking Policy: Tee times for Junior Members may only be made up to 24 hours in advance (this is a strict policy). A Junior Member who is booked on the tee sheet more than 24 hours in advance will be charged the public junior rate each time this happens. Although the website will allow it, parents may only book or add junior members within 24 hours of the tee time. These are deeply discounted memberships and Shaker Hills cannot have junior members blocking the tee sheet from other members or public rounds of golf more than 24 hours in advance. These memberships allow junior members to utilize unused tee times that can be booked up to 24 hours in advance.

The Fine Print

Four-Month Finance Plan – Customers may pay for their membership in full or choose a Four-Month Finance Plan. If the Four-Month Finance Plan is chosen, a non-refundable 5% Membership Finance Fee is due upfront and is based on the total amount of membership being financed. Your first monthly payment will be due on the 1st of the month following your signed membership application. There is no penalty for paying off your membership early. A credit card must be used for this option. All finance plans must be paid in full by September 1, 2023. Summer Memberships are not eligible for the Four-Month Finance Plan.


Memberships no longer includes a GHIN Handicap with recent changes being made from Mass Golf. Golfers who wish to have a GHIN must go through the Mass Golf, Member Now handicap portal. A link to this website can be found at shakerhills.com under the online store tab.


Platinum, Gold, Silver, Young Adult, Young Professional, Weekday, Weekday Hybrid, & Twilight Members are eligible to play in all club tournaments at the posted entry fee. Based on your membership type, you may be responsible for paying a greens fee in addition to the entry fee. Entry fees do NOT include green fees.


Gold and Silver Members will pay a percentage off our Regular 18-Hole Greens Fee Rates (non-discounted rates). This also applies to Weekday Hybrid Members on weekends and holidays. Senior, Active Military, Veteran & First Responder rates are considered discounted rates. 


Members who play or practice outside their membership times will automatically be charged to their card on file. It is the members responsibility to adhere to their membership and playing restrictions.


Practice Facilities: The practice facilities are typically open 30 minutes prior to the first tee time and close at the last tee time of the day. In season, the practice facilities are closed from 5:00pm on Wednesday until 8:00am on Thursday morning for weekly maintenance. Shaker Hills Country Club holds the right to close the practice facilities as needed. Members who only want to use the practice facilities without a tee time must check in with the golf shop prior too. This can be done by calling the golf shop or stopping in. Golf carts are not typically available for members or other customers who are only looking to use the practice facilities.

Member No-Show Policy: Members are responsible for cancelling tee times they will not use with at least 24 hours’ notice. Members who habitually no-show are subject suspension, losing tee time privileges or paying the full public green fee rate in which they blocked.

Membership Cancellation Policy: A customer who pays for their membership in the Fall for the following year may cancel their membership for reasons such as hardship, job relocation or medical reasons. If membership is cancelled, Shaker Hills will assess a 10% Membership Return Fee (based on the total amount paid for membership) and calculate all rounds played under the membership prior to the cancelation date. All rounds played would be billed at the posted public rate. The customer would receive a refund equal to the (Membership Dues Paid minus a 10% Membership Return Fee minus Rounds Played at the Public Rate).
Under the same cancellation policy, members may cancel within the first 60 days of their membership (or 60 days from the start of the season if membership is purchased during the off-season). The customer would receive a refund equal to the (Membership Dues Paid minus the 10% Membership Return Fee minus Rounds Played at the Public Rate).
No refunds or membership cancellations are permitted after the first 60 days of membership.

Medical Leave of Absence: A doctor’s note is required to receive a medical leave of absence. Depending on the length of leave, Shaker Hills may determine a fair dollar amount that will be credited towards a future membership to the member who takes a medical leave of absence. The minimum medical leave of absence is six weeks. Refunds will only be considered for extreme cases. Shaker Hills has final say on whether a medical leave of absence shall be granted.

Force Majeure & Pandemic Course Closure Clause – Depending on the length of an extended course closure, Shaker Hills has final say in whether a future membership credit will be offered to its current membership. Membership refunds/returns will not be processed due to a force majeure or pandemic closure. Members may not cancel their membership or apply for a medical leave of absence during a time the course is closed due to force majeure or a pandemic.
Members are required to always have an active credit card on their account. An updated credit card will be taken yearly when membership dues are purchased or renewed. Members who do not maintain an active card may be suspended from membership privileges until an active card and all unpaid expenses have been recouped.

Shaker Hills Country Club holds the right to suspend or terminate your membership as we see fit for inappropriate behavior, negatively affecting our daily business, or causing damage to the course or property.

Shaker Hills Country Club Corporation greens fees, programs, memberships, and course specifications are subject to change without notice.
