What is the maximum capacity at Shaker Hills?
We accommodate a maximum of 150 guests with dining and dancing. There are no pillars blocking view within our reception room. Our required minimum number of guests is 100 although that may be flexible if you are planning less than six months ahead.

How many events do you host per day?
We only host one wedding each day thus our timing is flexible. We do not stay open after 12 PM midnight.

Do you have time slots?
Since we do only one wedding a day we do not have time slots- you may select whichever five hours works for you as long as we end by midnight.

How many hours does the reception include?
We include five hours for your event and a sixth hour may be added if you desire.

Can you accommodate outdoor events?
We do not have outdoor events but we do have a covered flagstone terrace which is popular for your cocktail hour. Additionally we have several outdoor photography sites for your formals.

Are outside caterers permitted?
No; we have in house food service at Shaker Hills Golf Club. All food is prepared on site and served hot and fresh to your guests.

Can you customize menus?
We are happy to customize a menu to your liking. Our published menus are just a sampling of what our chef can prepare.

Do you have a required minimum expenditure?
No; just the minimum requirement of 100 guests at the listed prices. (Unless this minimum was reduced due to proximity of scheduling)

Do you have room charges or facility fees?
We have a facility usage fee which ranges from $1000.00-$1200.00 for weddings depending on day of week and month. This is an inclusive fee which includes set-up, linens, chair covers with sash, china, cake cutting, wait staff, and a wedding facilitator for your event.

What additional fees can I expect?
We pride ourselves in trying to be inclusive. In addition to the facility usage fee will be the cost of whatever food and beverage you have chosen. All linens, china, wait staff, set up, cake cutting, and a wedding facilitator for the day is included.

Can you provide childrens' meals?
We are happy to provide a special meal at a reduced price of $15.25 for the 12 and under crowd. Chicken Fingers and French Fries are the popular choice.

Can you accommodate special dietary restrictions?
We are happy to provide special meals for those with dietary restrictions and allergies.

Do you offer vegetarian meals?
Yes; we provide vegetarian and vegan meals.

Can I have my ceremony on site at Shaker Hills Golf Club?
Outdoor floral trellis provides a lovely backdrop for your ceremony on site. In case of inclement weather we have a totally separate space inside for the ceremony.  The chairs are included for either location.  Additional time is provided for the ceremony in addition to the five hour reception time.  The ceremony fee is $550.00

Is outdoor photography available?
We have numerous picturesque spots for your outdoor photography. The floral trellis and footbridge are the most popular areas. In case of rain we also have a separate area for inside photography and gathering for your wedding party.

Does your function area have windows?
Our function room features two entire walls of windows. Additionally our cocktail area has windows and doors which open onto a terrace with views up the first fairway.

Do you have a separate cocktail area?
Yes, adjacent to the dining area by two sets of French doors our cocktail area also opens onto a terrace with views up the first fairway.

Are there charges for parking?
No; there is an abundance of free parking.

What is your staff's attire?
Our staff is formally attired in Black and White.

What do you include for table linens?
Our included linen for weddings is a floor length cloth in ivory.  In addition we include ivory chair covers and sash.

Do you charge extra for offering two entrée choices to the guests?
No; you may offer a choice to your guests at no additional charge and you will be charged the actual number you order with us at the price of each entrée. (not the higher priced entrée prevailing for everyone)
